Florette
Branding and web design for Florette, a century-old Mediterranean brigantine, meticulously maintained and still sailing today.
The brand idea draws from the meaning of Florette—“flower” in Italian—using a floral motif as the foundation for the new symbol. This form is combined with a wind rose, linking growth and beauty with journey, navigation, and direction at sea. The color palette balances deep navy blue, inspired by open water, with the light, sail-like tones of canvas and wind-filled cloth, creating an identity that feels both poetic and purposeful.
Florette was built in 1921 and has spent more than a hundred years in her home waters of the Mediterranean. She is the last brigantine of her kind still active, maintained in excellent condition and carrying her story forward with every voyage. In 2026, she will take part in the maritime festivals of Sète and Castellón, celebrated not only for her history but for her presence today. ©2026
